Common use of Employees of Clause in Contracts

Employees of. the City who were employed as parking enforcement officers and were members of the bargaining unit as of September 1, 2021, shall be treated as if they are still members of the bargaining unit for purposes of any job postings covered by this contract. For purposes of applying and being considered for any job openings within the bargaining unit, their seniority will be based on the original date of their membership in the bargaining unit. This benefit will cease if any employee covered by this provision leaves their employment with the City, or if they leave parking enforcement to take another position within the City which is outside of the bargaining unit.
