Common use of Eligibility for Holidays Clause in Contracts

Eligibility for Holidays. To be eligible for holiday pay an employee must work his last scheduled work day before the holiday and his first scheduled work day after the holiday, unless on prior approved sick leave, vacation leave, funeral leave, compensatory time, personal leave day and/or paid military leave. Employees who are scheduled to work on the day designated as a holiday and who report off/do not report to work shall not be entitled to holiday pay.
