Common use of Durational Employees Clause in Contracts

Durational Employees. A durational employee, as defined in Article l, shall be covered by this Agreement after six (6) months of continuous service. However, due to the nature of the durational appointment, a durational employee cannot be guaranteed continued employment beyond the termination date of the appointment. Termination is therefore without right of appeal and a durational employee shall not have bumping rights. Also, this Section shall not be deemed as a waiver of any requirements of the merit system. This Agreement entitles a full time durational employee to the following fringe benefits after six (6) months of continuous service:
