ARTICLE 29 Entry into Force (1) Each of the Contracting States shall notify to the other the completion of the procedures required by its law for the bringing into force of this Agreement. The Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the later of these notifications. (2) The provisions of the Agreement shall apply: (a) With regard to taxes withheld at source, in respect of amounts paid or credited on or after the first day next following the date upon which the Agreement enters into force; and (b) With regard to other taxes: (i) In Botswana, in respect of income tax, on taxable income derived on or after the first day of July of the year next following that of the entry into force of this Agreement; and (ii) In Mozambique, in respect to taxable years beginning on or after the first day of January next following the date upon which the Agreement enters into force. ARTICLE 30
