Deemed Termination. Seniority shall be lost and the employee shall be deemed to be terminated under the following circumstances: a) if the employee quits; b) if the employee is discharged for just and reasonable cause and the discharge is not reversed through the Grievance or Arbitration Procedure; c) i) if the employee with less than four (4) years’ service has been absent due to layoff for a period of eighteen (18) months;

a) if the employee quitsa. Voluntarily resigns;
