Damp Proof Course Clause Samples
The Damp Proof Course clause specifies the requirement for installing a barrier within a building's structure to prevent moisture from rising through walls and floors. Typically, this involves the use of impermeable materials such as bitumen, plastic, or slate, which are integrated at a certain level in masonry construction. By mandating the inclusion and proper placement of a damp proof course, this clause helps protect the building from structural damage and health issues caused by dampness, ensuring long-term durability and habitability.
