Fine Aggregate. The fine aggregate shall be clean river sand free from clay, vegetation or other decayed matter, etc., and free from dust and dirt and shall comform to T.N.B.P. No.7. The river sand should be quarried from palar river in Timmavaram village in Chengalpattu Taluk.
Fine Aggregate a. Fine aggregate shall consist of natural or crushed sand conforming to IS 383. The sand shall be clean, sharp, hard, strong and durable and shall be free from dust, vegetable substances, adherent coating, clay, alkali, organic matter, mica, salt, or other deleterious substances, which can be injurious to the setting qualities/strength /durability of concrete.
Fine Aggregate. Fine aggregate for concrete shall be natural sand (but not beach sand) or a mixture of natural sand and fine crushed stone. It shall meet the requirements of B.S. 882 and its grading shall be within the limits of one of grading zones 1, 2 or 3 given in Table 2 of B.S.882. In addition, it shall have a specific gravity of not less than 2.5, shall not contain more than 5 percent by volume of shells or shell fragments. The fine aggregate delivered to the batching plant shall have a uniform and stable moisture content. When necessary, or when required by the Engineer, all fine aggregate shall be washed in clean water, before being incorporated in the Works.
Fine Aggregate. The Fineness Modulus (FM) of sand shall be 2.0-3.50 as per latest IS-383. It shall be free from harmful impurities and deleterious substances. In case fine dust and silt is found more than 4% the same shall be washed thoroughly before use.
Fine Aggregate. 4.2.1. Fine aggregate for concrete works shall be natural sand / crushed, stone sand / crushed gravel. Sand or combination thereof shall be conforming to IS-383 and grading within the limits of Grading Zones II to III all as specified in Clause 4.4 of MES Schedule. Sand conforming to grading zone IV of IS-383 shall not be used for RCC work.
Fine Aggregate. (a) The Contractor shall be responsible for testing the fine aggregates to establish conformance to these specifications, and the results of these tests shall be provided to the Contract Administrator if requested. All aggregates shall comply with CAN/CSA A23.1.
Fine Aggregate. (a) Fine aggregate shall meet the grading requirements of CAN/CSA A23.1, Table 10, Gradation FA1.
Fine Aggregate. (a) Fine aggregate shall meet the grading requirements of CSA A23.1-04, Table 10, FA1, be graded uniformly and not more than three (3) percent shall pass a 75 um sieve. Fine aggregate shall consist of sand, stone, screenings, other inert materials with similar characteristics or a combination thereof, having clean, hard, strong, durable, uncoated grains free from injurious amounts of dust, lumps, shale, alkali, organic matter, loam or other deleterious substances.

Fine Aggregate. 5.3.1 Fine aggregate for concrete shall be approved quality of Natural River sand as specified in MES Sch. Fine aggregate shall conform to grading Zone II or III of IS-382. The sand shall be washed with clean and fresh water if percentage of deleterious matter, such as silt etc exceeds the limits of 5% specified in IS.
