Common use of CUSTODIAN & MAINTENANCE SAFETY COMMITTEE Clause in Contracts

CUSTODIAN & MAINTENANCE SAFETY COMMITTEE. The Board and the Association agree to cooperate to the fullest extent reasonably possible to promote the use of safe equipment, facilities and the adoption of safe policies. Three representatives of the custodial staff, the Superintendent, or designee, and the Director of Operations and Maintenance shall meet once a month or otherwise by mutual agreement for the purpose of discussing problems and matters of concern to either party. One of the topics to be addressed in these meetings will be work related injuries. The Association will participate with the District to lower work related injuries and worker compensation claims.
