Control Centers Sample Clauses

Control Centers. Control of the PACIS II system is accomplished through the facilities installed in the Rail Control Center (RCC) and the Travel Information Center (TIC). NYCT rail traffic is controlled from the Operating Theater in the RCC, located on 54th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues in Manhattan. The PACIS Phase II system is controlled and operated using redundant servers/controllers and other equipment located on the third floor. Management and operating positions consist of thirty-four (34) standalone IAP workstations in the RCC Operating Theater, 28 of which are used by train controllers and share ATS-A console positions. Nine (9) additional IAP workstations, located elsewhere in the RCC building are designated for use by Customer Information Agents. Six (6) Administration and Maintenance workstations are distributed between the RCC and NYCT offices at ▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Travel questions and complaints from the public are processed at the NYCT Travel Information Center (TIC).. Travel Information Agents at this center respond to customer calls that are routed over several NYCT telephone lines to these agents via an automatic call distributor (ACD), located principally in the TIC, with a remote unit located at the RCC. These calls originate at Help Point Intercom units located at selected passenger stations (in the current implementation stage). Note that the PACIS II workstations at the TIC also interface with NYCT’s own travel information software.
