Common use of Contagious Diseases Clause in Contracts

Contagious Diseases. When a source of a possible contagion in a worksite becomes known, the Employer shall notify the employees and the Union of the possible contagion, the isolation steps implemented and precautions required to avoid contagion. The Employer shall abide by the applicable recommendations of the Michigan Department of Community Health and the Centers for Disease Control, and/or MIOSHA standards. The parties recognize an individual’s rights regarding confidentiality shall not be violated. An employee’s right to know shall be in accordance with applicable statutes.
