Contact Time. 18.01 Commencing with the 1st day of the 2008/2009 school year, over the course of a school’s instructional cycle, every full time teacher shall have the equivalent of the minimum of 40 minutes per day of preparation time, exclusive of recess. It shall not be allocated in blocks smaller than 30 minutes. 18.02 Part-time teachers shall be provided preparation time on a pro rata basis based on their percentage of contract.
