Construction Supervisor. In terms of Section 16 of the Act, the Chief Executive officer of the Contractor may delegate, in writing, part or all of his powers to a suitable person on the site. The Contractor shall appoint a full-time Construction Supervisor, in writing, in terms of Regulation 8(1) of the Regulations with the duty of supervising the performance of the construction work. He may also have to appoint one or more competent employees to assist the construction supervisor where, justified by the scope and complexity of the works.
