Construction Schedule. 3.5.1 The Contractor shall: .1 prepare and submit to the Owner and the Contract Administrator within seven (7) Calendar Days from the Commencement Date, unless otherwise stipulated elsewhere in the Agreement or agreed to by the Contract Administrator, a construction schedule for their review and acceptance that indicates the timing of the major activities of the Work and provides sufficient detail of the critical events and their inter-relationship to demonstrate the Work shall be performed in conformity with the Contract Time. The construction schedule shall: (1) take into account the phasing and sequencing of construction and the completion dates contained in the Agreement or as otherwise required by the Contract Administrator or the Owner; (2) include and conform to the Key Work Milestones or any other milestones for the performance of the Work set out in the Agreement; (3) be of a computerised type and provided in both electronic format and hard copy; (4) show the Project critical path and the critical path must be identified in a contrasting colour (red) from the other activities; (5) clearly show, in weekly intervals, the logic and timing of major activities, proposed start dates and estimated duration for activities; and (6) have a level of detail sufficient to identify the Contractor and each specific Subcontractor and their respective parts of the Work and the specific location thereof. Once approved by the Owner and the Contract Administrator, the construction schedule submitted by the Contractor under this GC 3.5.1.1, as updated by the Contractor and approved by the Owner and Contract Administrator, shall become the “Construction Schedule”. The Construction Schedule (and any approved updates) shall be the benchmark against which the progress of the Work is to be measured for the purposes of the Agreement; .3 maintain a Current Schedule and update the Current Schedule every two (2) weeks, unless otherwise stipulated elsewhere in the Agreement or agreed to by the Contract Administrator, and provide the updated Current Schedule to the Owner and Contract Administrator. For clarity, the Current Schedule shall be used for information purposes only; .4 advise the Contract Administrator of any revisions required to the Construction Schedule as the result of extensions of the Contract Time as provided in 7.CHANGES IN THE WORK and provide the Owner and Contract Administrator for approval, an updated Construction Schedule reflecting such extensions; and .5 perform the Work in accordance with the Construction Schedule including the Key Work Milestones. 3.5.2 If the Contractor fails to submit the initial or any updated Construction Schedule satisfactory to the Contract Administrator, the Owner shall be entitled to withhold or delay payments under the Agreement until the Contractor complies with the requirements of GC 3.5.1.

Construction Schedule. 3.5.1 The A. For each Job Order request, within seven (7) days of receipt of Job Order Request, unless extended by the HISD Project Manager, the Contractor shall: .1 shall prepare and submit to the Owner HISD General Manager for approval three (3) copies of a practicable schedule showing the order in which the Contractor proposes to perform the Work, and the Contract Administrator within seven (7) Calendar Days from dates on which the Commencement Date, unless otherwise stipulated elsewhere in Contractor contemplates starting and completing the Agreement or agreed to by the Contract Administrator, a construction schedule for their review and acceptance that indicates the timing of the major activities several salient features of the Work (including acquiring materials, plant, and provides sufficient detail equipment), as well as specifically indicating any work that must be performed by HISD or others to enable Contractor to meet its schedule, along with a Job Order Proposal. The schedule may be a formal CPM computerized schedule or a progress chart in a bar chart format of suitable scale to indicate appropriately the percentage of Work scheduled for completion by any given date during the period. In either case, the basic information should be the same and the schedule chart must contain as a minimum:
1. A list of the critical events different types of Work activities or Work elements.
2. Show the logical dependencies (ties) to indicate what Work must be accomplished before other Work can begin.
3. Show when the Contractor proposes to start and their inter-relationship to demonstrate complete each Work activity or Work element.
4. Calculate the “weighting” or relative worth each Work shall be performed in conformity with the Contract Time. The construction schedule shall:
(1) take into account the phasing and sequencing of construction and the completion dates contained in the Agreement activity or as otherwise required by the Contract Administrator or the Owner;
(2) include and conform to the Key Work Milestones or any other milestones for the performance element is of the Work set out in the Agreement;
(3) be of total Project either as a computerised type and provided in both electronic format and hard copy;
(4) show the Project critical path and the critical path must be identified in a contrasting colour (red) from the other activities;

3.5.2 If the Contractor fails to submit a schedule within the initial or any updated Construction Schedule satisfactory to the Contract Administratortime prescribed, the Owner HISD Issuing Authority shall be entitled to withhold or delay payments under the Agreement approval of a Job Order until the Contractor complies with submits the requirements required schedule. Upon approval by HISD, the completion date in the required schedule shall become the “Completion Date” for the particular Job Order, and shall be the date that all Work under the Job Order is to be complete.
B. The Contractor shall submit a progress report weekly, or as otherwise directed by the HISD Project Manager, and shall deliver three (3) copies of GC 3.5.1the annotated schedule to the HISD Project Manager. If, in the opinion of the HISD Project Manager, the Contractor falls behind the approved schedule, the Contractor shall take steps necessary to improve its progress, including those that may be required by the HISD Project Manager, without additional cost to HISD. In this circumstance, the HISD Project Manager may require the Contractor to increase the number of shifts, overtime operations, days of Work, and/or the amount of construction plant, and to submit for approval any supplementary schedule or schedules in chart form as the HISD Project Manager deems necessary to demonstrate how the approved rate of progress will be regained.
