Conferences/Workshops. Teachers must submit a request to participate in the activity (conference and/or workshop) no later than 7 calendar days prior to the date of the event to the Superintendent, with an estimate of all costs, i.e. registration, meals, lodging, mileage. The Superintendent, in his discretion, may approve or deny the request. If approved, the teacher will submit receipts to verify the expenses and will be reimbursed in accordance with District procedures. Tuition β The District will budget a maximum of $10,500 each school year to cover the cost of tuition reimbursement, with a maximum individual limit of $1,500 per teacher each contract year dependent upon fund allocation and the below described timeline. In order to receive tuition reimbursement teachers must submit a request to participate with funds being allocated based on a first come first serve basis. The Superintendent, in his discretion, may approve or deny the request. If approved, individuals must present proof of successful course completion from an accredited university and the course work must relate to education. The teacher will submit receipts to verify the expenses and will be reimbursed in accordance with District procedures. If the budgeted amount for tuition reimbursement is not fully allocated by December 15 of each contract year then an individual may submit additional requests until the budgeted amount is fully allocated.
