OTE Corporation shall use its best efforts to work with the Government of the American Samoa in its research endeavors towards the completion of a comprehensive feasibility study, including but not limited to technical, environmental, agricultural, marine, and economic growth/economic development factors.
COLLABORATION WITH GOVERNMENT agencies and policy makers The following two events during year 1 involved interaction between FIBRE and government agencies. • A closed meeting named “Agenda for FI research in Brazil” was held in Brasilia on 28th May 2012, aimed at persuading Brazilian funding agencies to create R&D programs focused on Future Internet experimentation. • FIRE Workshop on Brazil & EU cooperation in ICT R&D, collocated with the Future Internet Assembly in May 2012. There was a dedicated presentation of FIBRE by the project coordinator (cf. section 6.1). An updated dissemination plan including a more stressed interaction with government agencies and policy makers will be presented in the upcoming deliverable 6.3 (due in M17). "This work makes use of results produced by the FIBRE project, co-funded by the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and by the European Commission within its Seventh Framework Programme.”
