Common use of Claims Expenses Clause in Contracts

Claims Expenses. The Reinsurer will pay its share of reasonable investigation and legal expenses incurred in investigating, adjudicating or litigating a claim, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement. The Reinsurer will not be liable for any routine investigative or administrative claim expenses (such as compensation of salaried employees) or for any expenses incurred in connection with conflicting claims of entitlement to Reinsured Policy benefits that the Company admits are payable.
