CATTLE. 7.1. Lessee is authorized to graze a maximum of 420 AUM seasonally (AUM = 35 AU X 12 months) on the Premises in accordance with the provisions of this Lease and the ROA. Lessee shall provide documentation to NPS upon request demonstrating that ▇▇▇▇▇▇ has a majority ownership interest in all cattle on the Premises. Lessee is not permitted to allow use of the Premises for any cattle in which Lessee does not have a majority ownership interest. 7.2. To protect Park resources and public health and safety, any cattle brought onto the Premises shall be transported, maintained, identified and inspected in accordance with all Applicable Laws, including state laws regarding proof of ownership and the inter and intrastate movement of cattle. Lessee shall provide copies of relevant documentation to NPS upon request. 7.3. Lessee shall promptly treat diseased, injured, or dying cattle in accordance with Applicable Laws and customary veterinary practices. Lessee shall immediately remove dead cattle from the Park and dispose of the carcasses in accordance with all Applicable Laws. 7.4. In order to protect public health and safety and Park resources, Lessee shall promptly report the results of any cattle disease testing, including tests for Johne’s disease, to NPS in the event that such testing reveals a suspected or known incidence of disease. 7.5. Lessee’s feeding of cattle shall be conducted in a manner that discourages or precludes wildlife (such as elk and ravens) from accessing feed (e.g., use of covered feed bunks). As applicable, the ROA identifies strategies to accomplish this goal. Wildlife access to feed and organic wastes, including afterbirths, shall be restricted using structural controls. Lessee shall promptly remove these items from areas where wildlife access cannot be controlled. 7.6. If ▇▇▇▇▇▇ becomes aware that any cattle have escaped from the Premises, Lessee shall promptly return the cattle to the Premises. Failure to do following notice from Lessor so may subject the cattle to impoundment in accordance with 36 CFR Section 2.60. If ▇▇▇▇▇▇ believes that the cattle escaped due to public visitation, Lessee shall provide all supporting information to the NPS for investigation and appropriate action. 7.7. Lessee shall provide monthly stocking rates by class of cattle (e.g., cow, calf, dairy heifer, yearling, bull) to Lessor by the 15th of the following month. The monthly stocking rates report will use an agreed form and will identify number of cattle by class, pasture and allotment.
