Common use of Callout Time Clause in Contracts

Callout Time. An employee reporting for work on the call of the Employer shall be paid his/her regular rate of pay for the entire period spent at the place of work in response to the call with a minimum of four (4) hours in any one day except where his/her work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the control of the Employer and except where the employee’s condition is such that he is not competent to perform his/her duties or has failed to comply with the Accident Prevention Regulations of WorkSafe BC.
