Broken Shift. When an employee elects to work two shifts within a 24 hour period each portion of that shift will be considered a separate shift and attract the relevant shift penalties where applicable. The combined shifts will not exceed 12 hours in total and are to be worked within a spread of 14 hours. If the employee’s ordinary hours exceed 76 per fortnight, then normal overtime conditions apply
