Bidding Phase Services a. Bidding Phase Services: • Prepare all applicable construction documents for bidding. Attend the pre-bid meeting. Respond to bidder’s questions during the bid period. Prepare project addenda up to three (3) during bid period. Analyze contractor bids, prepare bid tabulation, and make recommendation for award to the apparent low bidder via a letter.
Bidding Phase Services. The services for this phase will include the preparation of the Contract Documents for bidding with local funds, the distribution and sale of plans and contract documents, and participation in the evaluation of the bids for award. The CONSULTANT shall not charge any third party more than $50.00 for the specifications for this project and $1.00 per sheet for the plan sheets for this project.
Bidding Phase Services. 1 Upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed with the Bidding Phase of the Project from the Town, the Designer and its Consultants shall perform the following services in accordance with MGL Chapter 149 on or before the date and time specified in the Approved Project Schedule.

6.3. Administer the distribution of bidding documents to prospective bidders. Engineer will use a print shop such as American Document Solutions of Columbia, Missouri, to print and ship documents and send out addenda. Engineer will not sell documents or provide refunds for returned documents.
6.4. Address bidder questions regarding the plans and contract documents. (assumes no on- site prebid meeting)
6.5. Prepare and issue addenda and provide supplemental information or clarification, as appropriate, to interpret, clarify or expand the bidding documents to all prospective bidders during the bidding process. (assumes 1 addendum)
6.6. Facilitate bid opening, prepare the bid tabulation sheets, assist the City in evaluating the bids and the contract award. (assumes 1 attending)
6.7. Submit request for concurrence in award to MoDOT.
6.8. Project administration, project updates, coordination, and invoicing during this phase of work.

Bidding Phase Services. Prior to contract letting and subsequent to bid document submission, the Consultant shall make necessary revisions and last minute changes to plans, specifications, and estimates that result from the City and other agency reviews. The City shall prepare and distribute a bid invitation to select a construction contractor and draft advertisements to bid. The Consultant shall prepare addenda as needed during the bidding phase. Such addenda shall conform to the requirements of the City’s Bureau of Purchasing. The Consultant shall assist the City with distribution of the addenda as directed. The Consultant is to attend and assist the City in pre-bid meetings and pre-award meetings. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ and minutes of these meetings will be prepared by the Consultant. The City will hold the public bid opening (letting). The Consultant shall analyze the bid results and prepare a letter of recommendation for award. The analysis will include, as applicable, the following: Verification of the low bidder. Bid tabulation showing bid amounts by each bidder for each item. Ensuring receipt of all required bid documents (non-collusive bid certification, debarment history certification, MWBE, apprenticeship, bonding, etc., as applicable) Breaking the low bid into fiscal shares. Determining whether the low bid is unbalanced. For pay items bid 15% less than the Engineer’s Estimate or more that 25% over the Engineer’s Estimate: o Checking accuracy of quantity calculations. o Determining appropriateness of price bid for work in the item. Determining whether the low bidder is qualified to perform the work. This information shall be provided to the City within five (5) working days of the bid opening.
