Common use of Background Check Clause in Contracts

Background Check. If requested by Agency and permitted by law, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors, and volunteers that perform Project activities must agree to submit to a criminal background check prior to performance of any Project activities or receipt of Confidential Information. Background checks will be performed at ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s expense. Based on the results of the background check, Grantee or Agency may refuse or limit (i) the participation of any Grantee employee, agent, contractor, subgrantee, or volunteer, in Project activities or (ii) access to Agency Personal Information or Grantee premises.
