ASSOCIATION AND EMPLOYEE RIGHTS. A. Pursuant to the Michigan Public Employment Relations Act, the Board hereby agrees that bargaining unit members shall have the right to freely organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining. The Board further agrees that it will not discourage or deprive bargaining unit members of the enjoyment of any rights conferred by the Act or other laws; that it will not discriminate against any bargaining unit member with respect to hours, wages, or conditions of employment by reason of Association membership or participation in collective negotiations with the Board or the institution of any grievance.
