Assignment Procedure. The Employer maintains the exclusive right and has the sole discretion to determine which members shall serve as Superintendent/Assistant Superintendents, but the Fire Chief may consult with the Union in determining said assignments. The Employer shall also maintain the exclusive right to remove said members from such assignment at any time, without challenge. A member is free to decline assignment to any of the positions mentioned in the article if the member so chooses.
