ASSIGNMENT OF ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES. ‌ Any permanent, full-time employee shall be entitled to additional compensation equivalent to two standard salary schedules for the performance of additional responsibilities of a higher level which are assigned or approved by the Department Head or designated Management representative and approved by the Chief Executive Office. Within ten (10) business days, the Department shall notify an employee in writing of the approval or denial of his/her written request for the additional responsibilities bonus. To qualify for this additional compensation, a full-time, permanent employee must either perform significant duties of a higher level class or be assigned a special project or assignment which requires the performance of additional duties and carries additional responsibilities beyond those typically assigned to the employee’s class. The assignment of additional duties normally performed by incumbents of the employee’s class shall not qualify for this additional compensation.
