Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) assignment is defined as a work shift of eight (8) continuous hours or more which is performed in addition to the Unit 16 employees' regularly scheduled workweek. During a MOD assignment, the employees must be on the facility grounds. At Department discretion there may be a physician surgeon and psychiatric physician MOD on the same shift.
