Annual Increase. Employees shall be granted annual step increases on July 1 provided the employee is not at the top of the salary range attached to his/her classification and provided the employee's work performance is satisfactory as reflected in his/ her performance evaluation. Newly hired employees must be working March 1 to be eligible for the annual step increase. Regular employees that are promoted to a higher classified position after March 1, who have received a minimum of a 5% increase as a result of the promotion are not eligible for a step increase in that position on July 1.
