Amplification. Sound pressure levels must not exceed occupational noise standards set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) and must remain compliant with those standards throughout the duration of the Engagement. CSU reserves the right to interrupt, and if necessary, terminate the Engagement in order to comply with these standards. Termination of the Engagement pursuant to this provision will result in cancellation of this Agreement and forfeiture of payment.
Amplification. Evaluate and make recommendations for the use of personal hearing instruments (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone conduction devices). Provide training and support regarding hearing assistance technologies to students and school personnel on use, care, limitations, and specific troubleshooting techniques.
Amplification. (a) Amplification of Principals
(1) If it is determined that an individual Principal shall be amplified in any particular scene of a production, said Principal and any other Principals who sing in the scene shall be so notified prior to the final dress rehearsal of the production.
(2) If the use of amplification is inherent in the compositional style of an opera (e.g., when notated by the composer), each Principal involved in that opera shall be so notified prior to their first rehearsal for that opera.
(b) Amplification of Chorus in Full Subscription Series Productions In Full Subscription Series productions, amplification of Chorus passages shall be employed only to rectify balance problems resulting from such factors as scenic design, Chorus placement, etc., or for special sound effects, or to conform to the compositional style of an opera. Amplification shall not be employed in order to reduce the number of Choristers that would otherwise be necessary to perform the opera.
