Common use of Affiliated Hospital Clause in Contracts

Affiliated Hospital. A state licensed, Medicare-certified acute care facility which has a contract with Health Plan for hospital services and which provides continuous emergency room services; and inpatient medical, surgical, or psychiatric diagnosis, treatment and care for injured or sick persons by or under the supervision of a staff of physicians with twenty-four (24) hour nursing service by registered nurses. Affiliated Hospital is not, other than incidentally, a nursing or rest home, a place for the aged or for the treatment of substance abuse or pulmonary tuberculosis.
