Common use of Acceptance of Resignation Clause in Contracts

Acceptance of Resignation. The Superintendent/President or designee is the authorized agent of the Board to officially accept the written notice of resignation. • The resignation of the employee shall be final and binding at the time of receipt by the Superintendent/President or designee. An employee, however, may withdraw a resignation within forty-eight (48) hours (exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) after submitting it upon a showing of good cause. An employee seeking to withdraw a resignation must submit a written request to do so to the Superintendent/President or designee specifying the reason(s) for the request. The request shall be granted upon a showing of good cause.
