Special Categories of Data definition

Special Categories of Data means personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation;
Special Categories of Data means such data as described in Article IV section 2.
Special Categories of Data has the meaning as defined in the Data Protection Laws.

  • Special Categories of Data RingCentral does not intentionally collect or process any special categories of data in the provision of its Services.

  • Special Categories of Data* and personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences are treated slightly differently to other Personal Data*, as there could be a greater impact if there was unauthorised use of this data, and therefore greater protection is needed.

More Definitions of Special Categories of Data

Special Categories of Data means data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership; genetic data, biometric data Processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person; data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation;
Special Categories of Data means personal data relating to racial or ethnic origin, political opinion or any affiliation with political parties, religion or other philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, sexual orientation, health status or addictions, and personal criminal data. Within this category, “biometric data” means personal data resulting from specific technical processing relating to the physical, physiological or behavioural characteristics of a natural person, which allow or confirm the unique identification of that natural person, such as facial images or dactyloscopic data.
Special Categories of Data means the data referred to in Article 8 of Directive 95/46/EC;
