Recall to work definition

Recall to work means a direction by the employer to return to work communicated to an employee after the employee has completed their ordinary hours of work. This includes a requirement to resume work; or a requirement to respond to a call or transaction or a series of calls or transactions that can reasonably said to be continuous that exceed, in total, a half hour’s duration.

Examples of Recall to work in a sentence

  • Recall to work at a time that is disconnected from the normal work shift and for which the employee did not receive prior notification during a regular scheduled shift.

  • Recall to work under this circumstance would be in accordance with Clause 22.

  • Recall to work under this circumstance would be in accordance with clause 21 - Overtime.

  • Recall to work of these EMPLOYEES will not count as a turn in the 50/50 hiring system now in place, but all steady EMPLOYEES must register with the Union when they are laid off and rehired.

  • Recall to work shall be in reverse order of layoff, provided the employee has the experience, ability and training to perform the required work.

  • Recall to work during this thirty (30) calendar day period shall be by departmental seniority, provided the employee is able to perform the available work to be done.

  • Recall to work shall be accomplished in the following manner: Employees with the greater seniority in the job classification affected shall be recalled first and thereafter, in the order of the employee’s seniority; provided, however, that the recalled employee has the experience and training to perform the required work.

  • Recall to work shall be governed by the same principles of seniority.

  • Recall to work shall be in the reverse order of layoff, wherever practicable.

  • Recall to work when on call An employee, who is required to be on call and who is recalled to work at the facility, will be paid for a minimum of four hours work at the appropriate overtime rate.

Related to Recall to work

  • Building Work has the meaning given to it in section 6 of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth);

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Base Building Work means the base building work for the Building as described in this Manual.

  • Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.

  • Completion of Services means..................................................

  • Defective Work means (a) Work that is unsatisfactory, deficient or damaged, does not conform to the Contract Documents, or does not meet the requirements of any inspection, test or approval, or (b) Work associated with punch list items that the Contractor fails to complete within a reasonable time after issuance of the punch list by the Project Manager.

  • Contract Work means everything required to be furnished and done by the Contractor by any one or more of the parts of the Contract referred to in Article 1, except Extra Work as hereinafter defined.

  • Tests after Completion means the tests (if any) which are specified in the Contract and which are carried out in accordance with the Specification after the Works or a Section (as the case may be) are taken over by the Procuring Entity.

  • audiovisual work means a work that consists of a series of related images which impart the impression of motion, with or without accompanying sounds, susceptible of being made visible and, where accompanied by sounds, susceptible of being made audible;

  • Collective Work means a work, such as a periodical issue, anthology or encyclopedia, in which the Work in its entirety in unmodified form, along with a number of other contributions, constituting separate and independent works in themselves, are assembled into a collective whole. A work that constitutes a Collective Work will not be considered a Derivative Work (as defined below) for the purposes of this License.

  • New Work means any Services/Deliverables outside the scope of the Contract and not specifically provided under any Statement of Work, that once added will result in the need to provide the Contractor with additional consideration.

  • MSAA Indicator Technical Specifications document means, as the context requires, either or both of the document entitled “Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) 2019-20 Indicator Technical Specifications November 5, 2018 Version 1.3” and the document entitled “Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreement (MSAA) 2019-20 Target and Corridor-Setting Guidelines” as they may be amended or replaced from time to time;

  • job work means any treatment or process undertaken by a person on goods belonging to another registered person and the expression “job worker” shall be construed accordingly;

  • Unit Price Work means the Work, or a portion of the Work, paid for based on incremental units of measurement.

  • Major Work means any Work to Construct or Maintain the Distribution System that costs more than One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars;

  • Installation Work means the construction and installation of the System and the Start-up, testing and acceptance (but not the operation and maintenance) thereof; all performed by or for the Power Producer at the Premises.

  • Tenant Improvements Defined in Exhibit B, if any.

  • Needs Improvement the Educator’s performance on a standard or overall is below the requirements of a standard or overall, but is not considered to be unsatisfactory at this time. Improvement is necessary and expected.  Unsatisfactory: the Educator’s performance on a standard or overall has not significantly improved following a rating of needs improvement, or the Educator’s performance is consistently below the requirements of a standard or overall and is considered inadequate, or both.

  • Contract Specifications means the principal trading terms in CFD (for example Spread, Swaps, Lot Size, Initial Margin, Necessary Margin, Hedged Margin, the minimum level for placing Stop Loss, Take Profit and Limit Orders, financing charges, charges etc) for each type of CFD as determined by the Company from time to time.
