Maternity Care: Prenatal care, childbirth, postnatal care, miscarriage and premature birth, and Complications of Pregnancy.
Maternity- Prenatal care of the mother and/or fetus is treated as any other Covered Medical Expense.- Inpatient care for the mother and/or newborn child will be provided for a minimum of 48 hours following a vaginal delivery, or a minimum of 96 hours following a cesarean section.

Prenatal care services means the comprehensive package of medical and psychosocial support provided throughout the pregnancy, including risk assessment, serial surveillance, prenatal education and use of routine specialized skills and technology as defined by Standards for Obstetric-Gynecologic Services issued by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and as required by state law.
Prenatal care includes visits to a doctor, nurse, or other health care worker before your baby was born to get checkups and advice about pregnancy.
