P-TECH program means the Pathways in Technology 1-43 Early College High School program established under this 1-44 subchapter.

P-TECH program means the Pathways in Technology Early College High School program established under Texas Education Code (TEC), §29.551. Added by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 189 (S.B. 22), Sec. 1, eff. September 1, 2017. Sec. 29.552. The P-TECH program, per, TEC, §29.553, enables a student in Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 who is at risk of dropping out, as defined by the TEC, §29.081, or who wishes to accelerate completion of high school to combine high school courses and college-level courses. A P-TECH program must provide for a course of study that, on or before the sixth anniversary of a student's first day of high school, enables a participating student to receive both a high school diploma and a credential and/or an associate degree and must include work-based education programs. Examples of P-TECH program in a sentence

  • The P-TECH shall have each student and a parent sign the consent form defining the requirements and expectations of the P-TECH program.

  • The School District and the College will develop a plan for the evaluation of the P-TECH program to be completed each year.

  • The College conducts and reports regular and ongoing evaluations of the P-TECH program effectiveness and uses the results for continuous improvement.

  • The industry or business partner will give to a student who receives work-based training or education from the partner under the P-TECH program first priority in interviewing for any jobs for which the student is qualified.

  • Upon enrolling in the P-TECH program, each student’s general directory information will be subject to the Texas Public Information Act.

  • The commissioner of education shall establish and administer, in accordance with Education Code Chapter 29, Subchapter N, a Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program for students who wish to participate in a work-based education program.

  • The 86th Texas Legislative Session passed HB 3650 which requires that the School District and the College to consider the use of free or low-cost open educational resources in courses offered as dual credit, for which the P-TECH program uses as part of its course offering to satisfy the prescribed courses in the degree plans.

  • The College and School District will collaborate to develop courses of study that ensure students are able to meet high school graduation requirements while also earning up to 42 hours towards core completion for students enrolled in traditional dual credit, or up to 60 hours towards a single associate degree and/or certificate for students enrolled in a designated ECHS and P-TECH program.

  • Volunteer its services & resources to the District in support of the P-TECH program.

  • Discontinuation of the P-TECH program will only be allowed at the end of a grade level cohort, or when a cohort graduates.

Related to P-TECH program

  • Research Program has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

  • Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.

  • Research Program Term has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2.

  • Collaboration Know-How means all Know-How and Materials discovered, created, conceived, developed or reduced to practice in the course of performing activities under the Collaboration Program (whether solely by one Party or jointly by the Parties, in each case with their Affiliates or any Third Parties or any employees, consultants or agents of any of the foregoing which perform activities under the Collaboration Program).

  • Licensed Program means the executable processing programs of licensed information, which is composed of various modules in the Licensed Software package provided by the Licensor.
