  • Where bareland or any abandoned premises constitutes, or is likely to constitute, a threat to public health, and where the owner of the bareland or premises, is untraceable, an officer of a Municipal City Council, Municipal Town Council or District Council may enter the bareland or premises and cause all necessary works for the cleaning of the land or premise and removal and disposal of all undergrowth, waste and any other material that may be found thereupon.

  • The corporate name of a Municipal City Council shall consist of the words “The City Council of”, followed by the name of the city.

  • Every Municipal City Council specified in the first column of Part C of the First Schedule shall consist of the corresponding number of Councillors specified in the second column of Part C of that Schedule.

  • Any building and other property belonging to the Municipal City Council of Port Louis which, at the time of resumption of the rights referred to in paragraph (c), is to be found on the Champ de Mars, may be removed by the State.

  • Any loan referred to in subsection (1)(b) shall be effected by means of an issue of debentures or bonds created, issued, transferred, dealt with and redeemed in such manner as may be specified in regulations made by the Municipal City Council, Municipal Town Council or District Council.

  • Municipal Planning Tribunal means the Municipal Planning Tribunal for the municipal area established in terms of section 33, the joint Municipal Planning Tribunal established in terms of section 45 or the District Municipal Planning Tribunal established in terms of section 49;

  • Municipal entity means (a) a company, co-operative, trust, fund or any other corporate entity established in terms of any applicable national or provincial legislation, and which operates under the ownership control of one or more municipalities; or (b) a service utility.

  • Finance commission means the Finance Commission of Texas.

  • municipal area means the area of jurisdiction of the municipality demarcated in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Demarcation Act 1998 (Act No 27 of 1998);

  • municipal tax means property rates or other taxes, levies or duties that a municipality may impose;

  • GASB means the Governmental Accounting Standards Board. “Goods” means supplies, materials, or equipment.

  • Airport Authority means any city or any public or private board or other body or organization chartered or otherwise established for the purpose of administering, operating or managing airports or related facilities, which in each case is an owner, administrator, operator or manager of one or more airports or related facilities.

  • South West Land Division means the South West Land Division as defined by Section 28 of the Land Act 1933-1971 excluding the area contained within the Metropolitan Area.

  • Municipal electric utility means a municipal corporation that owns or operates facilities to generate, transmit, or distribute electricity.
