Index Initial definition

Index Initial means the Initial Index Level as specified below in 17 (xii)
Index Initial means the Initial Index Level “Index (t)” means the Reference Level.

  • Index Initial: The official Closing Level of the Index on the Initial Valuation Date.

  • Final Redemption Amount on Maturity Date:(i) If no Automatic Early Redemption Event occurs before the Maturity Date, the Final Redemption Amount shall be determined as specified in Condition 19(e), i.e. the Calculation Amount x (Index Final / Index Initial) if the Index Final is below the Barrier Level, otherwise (ii) the Calculation Amount x 100 % if the Index Final is greater than or equal to the Barrier Level.
