Hydrocarbon Discovery definition

Hydrocarbon Discovery means any indication of an accumulation of hydrocarbons penetrated by an Exploratory Well.

  • Should Contractor decide to declare a Hydrocarbon Discovery as a Commercially Exploitable Field, Contractor shall also include a preliminary schedule for the Exploration Operations for that field.

  • All Exploration Operations carried out by Contractor in the vicinity of a Hydrocarbon Discovery to appraise the total area and importance of the discovery including, but not limited to extension or appraisal xxxxx, detailed seismic lines; geological, geochemical, gravimetric and magnetic studies; interpretation of well logs, formation tests and other data obtained from the drilling of said xxxxx.

  • From the time Contractor declares a Hydrocarbon Discovery as a Commercially Exploitable Field, Contractor shall commence the Exploitation Operations in that field within a reasonable period which shall be determined according to the practices and standards of the international oil industry.

  • If Contractor does not declare a Hydrocarbon Discovery as a Commercially Exploitable Field within the term stated in Article Four.Eleven, Contractor shall return an area pertaining to that Hydrocarbon Discovery to the Government.

  • Subject to Articles Four, Five and Six, if Contractor considers that a Hydrocarbon Discovery is not commercially exploitable or loses the right to exploit it due to any of the grounds stated in the Contract, the Government shall have the right to directly exploit that Hydrocarbon discovery at its own risk and expense, through its companies or third parties.

  • However, any well drilled to evaluate a Hydrocarbon Discovery shall not be considered a Test Boring in order to perform the minimum drilling obligations set forth in this Contract.

  • This is the date when drilling equipment stops working in a Test Boring that has lead to a Hydrocarbon Discovery.

Related to Hydrocarbon Discovery

  • Hydrocarbons means oil, gas, casinghead gas, drip gasoline, natural gasoline, condensate, distillate, liquid hydrocarbons, gaseous hydrocarbons and all products refined or separated therefrom.

  • Hydrocarbon Interests means all rights, titles, interests and estates now or hereafter acquired in and to oil and gas leases, oil, gas and mineral leases, or other liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon leases, mineral fee interests, overriding royalty and royalty interests, net profit interests and production payment interests, including any reserved or residual interests of whatever nature.

  • Hydrocarbon means a compound consisting of hydrogen and carbon, which, when naturally occurring, may also contain other elements such as sulphur;

  • Carbon dioxide or “CO2” means the most common of the six primary greenhouse gases, consisting on a molecular level of a single carbon atom and two oxygen atoms.

  • Total hydrocarbons (THC) means the sum of all volatile compounds measurable by a flame ionization detector (FID).

  • Condensate means hydrocarbon liquid separated from natural gas which condenses due to changes in the temperature or pressure and remains liquid at standard conditions.

  • Oil and Gas Interests means: (a) direct and indirect interests in and rights with respect to oil, gas, mineral and related properties and assets of any kind and nature, direct or indirect, including, without limitation, working, royalty and overriding royalty interests, mineral interests, leasehold interests, production payments, operating rights, net profits interests, other non-working interests, contractual interests, non-operating interests and rights in any pooled, unitized or communitized acreage by virtue of such interest being a part thereof; (b) interests in and rights with respect to Hydrocarbons and other minerals or revenues therefrom and contracts and agreements in connection therewith and claims and rights thereto (including oil and gas leases, operating agreements, unitization, communitization and pooling agreements and orders, division orders, transfer orders, mineral deeds, royalty deeds, oil and gas sales, exchange and processing contracts and agreements and, in each case, interests thereunder), and surface interests, fee interests, reversionary interests, reservations and concessions related to any of the foregoing; (c) easements, rights-of-way, licenses, permits, leases, and other interests associated with, appurtenant to, or necessary for the operation of any of the foregoing; (d) interests in oil, gas, water, disposal and injection xxxxx, equipment and machinery (including well equipment and machinery), oil and gas production, gathering, transmission, compression, treating, processing and storage facilities (including tanks, tank batteries, pipelines and gathering systems), pumps, water plants, electric plants, gasoline and gas processing plants, refineries and other tangible or intangible, movable or immovable, real or personal property and fixtures located on, associated with, appurtenant to, or necessary for the operation of any of the foregoing; and (e) all seismic, geological, geophysical and engineering records, data, information, maps, licenses and interpretations.

  • Oil means petroleum in any form including crude oil, fuel oil, sludge, oil refuse and refined products (other than petrochemicals which are subject to the provisions of Annex II of the present Convention) and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes the substances listed in Appendix I to this Annex.

  • Carbon dioxide equivalent or “CO2 equivalent” or “CO2e” means the number of metric tons of CO2 emissions with the same global warming potential as one metric ton of another greenhouse gas. Global warming potential values shall be determined consistent with the definition of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent in MRR section 95102(a).

  • Tetrahydrocannabinol means the natural or synthetic equivalents of the substances contained in the plant, or in the resinous extractives of, Cannabis sativa, or any synthetic substances, compounds, salts, or derivatives of the plant or chemicals and their isomers with similar chemical structure and pharmacological activity.

  • Oil and Gas Properties means (a) Hydrocarbon Interests; (b) the Properties now or hereafter pooled or unitized with Hydrocarbon Interests; (c) all presently existing or future unitization, pooling agreements and declarations of pooled units and the units created thereby (including without limitation all units created under orders, regulations and rules of any Governmental Authority) which may affect all or any portion of the Hydrocarbon Interests; (d) all operating agreements, contracts and other agreements, including production sharing contracts and agreements, which relate to any of the Hydrocarbon Interests or the production, sale, purchase, exchange or processing of Hydrocarbons from or attributable to such Hydrocarbon Interests; (e) all Hydrocarbons in and under and which may be produced and saved or attributable to the Hydrocarbon Interests, including all oil in tanks, and all rents, issues, profits, proceeds, products, revenues and other incomes from or attributable to the Hydrocarbon Interests; (f) all tenements, hereditaments, appurtenances and Properties in any manner appertaining, belonging, affixed or incidental to the Hydrocarbon Interests and (g) all Properties, rights, titles, interests and estates described or referred to above, including any and all Property, real or personal, now owned or hereinafter acquired and situated upon, used, held for use or useful in connection with the operating, working or development of any of such Hydrocarbon Interests or Property (excluding drilling rigs, automotive equipment, rental equipment or other personal Property which may be on such premises for the purpose of drilling a well or for other similar temporary uses) and including any and all oil xxxxx, gas xxxxx, injection xxxxx or other xxxxx, buildings, structures, fuel separators, liquid extraction plants, plant compressors, pumps, pumping units, field gathering systems, tanks and tank batteries, fixtures, valves, fittings, machinery and parts, engines, boilers, meters, apparatus, equipment, appliances, tools, implements, cables, wires, towers, casing, tubing and rods, surface leases, rights-of-way, easements and servitudes together with all additions, substitutions, replacements, accessions and attachments to any and all of the foregoing.

  • Geothermal fluid means water in any form at temperatures greater than 120

  • Contract Area means the geographic maintenance area as negotiated between the Employer and the Province of BC.

  • Postproduction means an activity related to the finishing or duplication of a medium described in Subsection 59-12-104(54)(a).

  • Hydrozone means a portion of the landscaped area having plants with similar water needs. A hydrozone may be irrigated or non-irrigated.

  • Production Burdens means any royalties (including lessor’s royalties), overriding royalties, production payments, net profit interests or other burdens upon, measured by or payable out of oil, gas or mineral production.

  • Gas well means a well producing gas or natural gas from a common source of gas supply as determined by the commission.

  • Total tetrahydrocannabinol means the sum of the percentage by weight of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid multiplied by eight hundred seventy-seven thousandths plus the percentage of weight of tetrahydrocannabinol.

  • Subject Properties has the meaning specified in Section 5.13(a).

  • Concentrate means the product of a process of extraction of metal or a metallic mineral from mineral ore that results in substantial enrichment of the metal or metallic mineral concerned;

  • Production means a method of obtaining goods including manufacturing, assembling, processing, raising, growing, breeding, mining, extracting, harvesting, fishing, trapping, gathering, collecting, hunting and capturing.

  • Subject Lands means the lands subject to or covered by the oil and gas leases described in Exhibit A, insofar and only insofar as they are located within the AMI Area and cover the Target Formation, subject to the exceptions, exclusions and reservations set forth on such Exhibit A.

  • Production Area means that part of the animal feeding operation that includes the animal confinement area, the manure storage area, the raw materials storage area, and the waste containment areas. The animal confinement area includes, but is not limited to, open lots, housed lots, feedlots, confinement houses, stall barns, free stall barns, milkrooms, milking centers, egg washing or egg processing areas, areas used for the storage and disposal/treatment of mortalities, cowyards, barnyards, medication pens, walkers, animal walkways, and stables. The manure storage area includes, but is not limited to, lagoons, runoff ponds, storage sheds, stockpiles, under-house or pit storages, liquid impoundments, static piles, and composting piles. The raw materials storage area includes, but is not limited to, feed silos, and silage bunkers. The waste containment area includes, but is not limited to, settling basins and areas within berms and diversions which separate uncontaminated stormwater.

  • Projects means the projects identified in Exhibit A to the Agreement and all other projects, any costs of which are included in a Transitional Capital Plan pursuant to the Act or are Recovery Costs, and financed, by payment or reimbursement, with the proceeds of Bonds or Notes.

  • Crops means any growing vegetative matter used for an agricultural purpose, including forage for grazing and domesticated animals.

  • Discovery Area means that part of the Contract Area about which, based upon Discovery and the results obtained from a Well or Xxxxx drilled in such part, the Contractor is of the opinion that Petroleum exists and is likely to be produced in commercial quantities.
