Examples of Fitness to Practise Panel in a sentence
Failure of the student to attend the Hearing without good cause (as determined by the Chair of the University Fitness to Practise Panel) shall result in the consideration of the case in the appellant’s absence.
The Secretary shall give the appellant and the Chair of the School Fitness to Practise Panel reasonable notice of the Hearing and, where possible, a minimum of ten working days.
Any witnesses for the Chair of the School Fitness to Practise Panel should be called to give evidence at this stage.
The proceedings of a Fitness to Practise Panel or an Appeal Panel shall be valid notwithstanding that one or more members of the Panel become unable to sit or disqualified from sitting on the Panel, or are replaced by another member from the appropriate list or by the arrangement at paragraph 3, subject to there being a minimum of three Members which shall include a Chair from the relevant list held under Paragraph 1(c), a medical member and a lay member.
For students enrolled on programmes leading towards a professional accredited qualification, circumstances accepted as valid by the University Extenuating Circumstances Panel, or where appropriate, shall be forwarded to the relevant Fitness to Practise Panel.
