Expansion of a structure definition

Expansion of a structure means an addition attached to, but outside of, either the vertical or horizontal confines of the existing structure or below the first floor level of a building elevated on posts or piers, but which is not a “substantial improvement” as defined by these Regulations.

Pole barns, hay sheds and the like qualify as accessory structures on farms, and may or may not be located on the same parcel as the farm dwelling or shop building.

  • Support Structure means an existing or new structure that supports or can support a mobile service facility, including a mobile service support structure, utility pole, water tower, building, or other structure.
