Cosmetology or Barber school definition

Cosmetology or Barber school means a school or department that is approved by the Board to conduct and provide cosmetology and/or barber training and education in Oklahoma. It means any place or premises where instruction in any or all the practices of cosmetology and or barbering are given. Any person, firm, institution or corporation, who holds himself, firm, institution or corporation who shall teach and train any other person or persons in any of the practices of cosmetology and/or barbering is hereby declared to be engaged in operating a cosmetology and/or barbering school, and shall be operating cosmetology and/or barbering school, and shall be subject to the provisions of the Oklahoma Cosmetology and Barbering Act. Licensed cosmetology and barbering schools may offer education to secondary and post secondary students in this state.

  • Cosmetology means any one and/or combination of practices generally and usually performed by and known as the occupation of beauty culturalist, cosmeticians, cosmetologists or hairdressers or any person holding him or herself out as practicing cosmetology in or upon a place or premises. Cosmetology shall include, but otherwise not be limited to, the following: embellishing, arranging, dressing, curling, waving, cleansing, beautifying, cutting, singeing, bleaching, coloring, or similar work upon the hair of any person by any means and with hands or mechanical or electrical apparatuses, devices or appliances or by use of cosmetic preparations, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, creams or otherwise, massaging, cleansing, stimulating, manipulating, exercising, beautifying or similar work, the scalp, face, neck, arms, hands, bust or upper part of the body, or manicuring, pedicuring or sculpting the nails of any person.

  • Cosmetologist means an individual licensed under this chapter to practice cosmetology.

  • Medical management technique means a practice which is used to control the cost or utilization of health care services or prescription drug use. The term includes, without limitation, the use of step therapy, prior authorization or categorizing drugs and devices based on cost, type or method of administration.

  • Drug therapy management means the review of a drug therapy regimen of a patient by one or more pharmacists for the purpose of evaluating and rendering advice to one or more practitioners regarding adjustment of the regimen.

  • Medical cannabis card means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Weapon-free school zone means school property and a vehicle used by a school to transport students to or from school property.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • Public research university means Rutgers, The State University

  • Civil Aeronautical Product means any civil aircraft, aircraft engine, or propeller or subassembly, appliance, material, part, or component to be installed thereon.

  • Clean coal technology demonstration project means a project using funds appropriated under the heading “Department of Energy—Clean Coal Technology,” up to a total amount of $2,500,000,000 for commercial demonstration of clean coal technology, or similar projects funded through appropriations for the Environmental Protection Agency. The federal contribution for a qualifying project shall be at least 20 percent of the total cost of the demonstration project.

  • Public school academy means a public school academy or strict discipline academy organized under the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1 to 380.1852.

  • hostel means a place of residence for the students of the University, or its colleges, institutions and study centers, established or recognized to be as such by the University;
