Convention Facilities definition

Convention Facilities means any venue, hotel, office, event space, public space or any other location, indoors or outdoors, within the Metropolitan Area that is designated in the Security Plan as a location where Convention events are occurring, Convention attendees are staying or where Convention-related security services are required during the Convention Security Period pursuant to the Security Plan.
Convention Facilities means and includes, collectively, all of the following: the Venue Licensed Premises; the Convention Center Licensed Premises; the Convention Hotels; Headquarters Hotels; the Convention Offices; any facilities or spaces constructed and provided or secured by the Host Committee for the DNC’s use as a media workspace; any facilities or spaces secured by the Host Committee for the DNC’s use as a media operations office; any private event venues secured by the Host Committee and assigned and/or occupied by the DNC; and any other venue or premises selected by the DNC, including, but not limited to, for the purpose of (a) conducting meetings of various committees, (b) engaging in other business and other activities related to the Convention, (c) holding other similar events and (d) holding events sponsored by the DNC or the Host Committee, which events and activities are associated with but do not comprise the Convention.
Convention Facilities means and includes, collectively, all of the following: the Licensed Premises; the Media Workspace (as defined in section 7.1. hereof); the Media Operations Office (as defined in section 11.5 hereof); the Convention Center Licensed Premises (as defined in section 6..2.1 hereof); the hotel designated by the DNCC as its headquarters (“Headquarters Hotel”); and the Convention Offices.

Examples of Convention Facilities in a sentence

  • If we move the Event to different dates or postpone it without stating new dates, or change the locations of the Event to be totally outside of the listed Convention Facilities, then you have the additional option to cancel this contract before the Event by written notice to us, with a refund of any of your payments due to you.

  • If we, or the Convention Facilities, store any of your property, or if you ship any property to us or the Convention Facilities, it is as a courtesy, and no bailment or assumption of liability is created.

  • When permitted by law, Altonimbus, and the Convention Facilities, will not be responsible for lost profits or revenues, financial losses, or indirect, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.

  • You are also bound by any rules and regulations of the Convention Facilities, as we or they may communicate to you.

  • If the Event is in progress, we will require you to immediately remove your exhibits and all other property, and vacate the Convention Facilities.

  • Agency Personnel are not considered to be working while located at their place of lodging or home or while traveling to or from their place of lodging or home to the Convention Facilities to which they are assigned, unless Agency Personnel are covered by a collective bargaining agreement or employment contract that requires them to be paid for such time (Agency shall provide City with a copy of such agreement or contract).

  • If required by the assignments provided to Agency by the City MPD Commanding Officer, Agency Personnel shall be placed in an “on duty” status in which Agency Personnel are physically near specified Convention Facilities or a Convention-related event location within the Metropolitan Area, so as to be able to physically report in a timely manner to his or her assigned duty post, and be prepared to undertake the specific assignment.

  • Agency shall not bring to the Convention Facilities any chemical or other non-lethal munitions except as provided by City MPD unless authorized by City MPD.

  • We, or the Convention Facilities, in our or their sole discretion, may require changes to your exhibits (including table or displays) if needed to comply with any applicable fire or safety laws or Convention Facilities requirements.

  • The City will provide such personnel in sufficient numbers and manner as are needed, as set forth in the Security Plan, to keep order and provide for the safety of all persons at the Convention Facilities and attending Convention- related activities in the Metropolitan Area.

Convention Facilities or “Meeting Facilities” means a large building that is designed for individuals and groups to gather, promote, and share common interests and may contain an auditorium, concert halls, lecture halls, meeting rooms, and conference

Related to Convention Facilities

  • Convention facility means all or any part of, or any combination of, a convention hall, auditorium, arena, meeting rooms, exhibition area, and related adjacent public areas that are generally available to the public for lease on a short-term basis for holding conventions, meetings, exhibits, and similar events, together with real or personal property, and easements above, on, or under the surface of real or personal property, used or intended to be used for holding conventions, meetings, exhibits, and similar events, together with appurtenant property, including covered walkways, parking lots, or structures, necessary and convenient for use in connection with the convention facility. Convention facility includes an attached arena with a seating capacity not exceeding 13,000. Convention facility does not include any arena with a seating capacity exceeding 13,000.

  • Production Facilities (7 9) means "production equipment" and specially designed software therefor integrated into installations for "development" or for one or more phases of "production".

  • Interconnection Facilities means the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities and the Customer Interconnection Facilities.

  • Common Facilities means the facilities under D.G.sets/D.G.rooms, water storage tanks its pumping and supply system, sewerage & drainage systems, electric sub-station/ transformers/electric panels/distribution network, maintenance service rooms, lawns including lighting & services etc., roads, pathways & driveways including street lighting & services etc., guard posts, fire hydrants & fire fighting system etc. and all such facilities and areas for common use and excluded from the computation of Super Area of the Said Premises;

  • Electrical Interconnection Facilities means the equipment and facilities required to safely and reliably interconnect a Facility to the transmission system of the Transmitting Utility, including the collection system between each Bloom System, transformers and all switching, metering, communications, control and safety equipment, including the facilities described in any applicable Interconnection Agreement.
