commodity market definition

commodity market means a market or facility licensed by the Authority or a facility, whether electronic or otherwise at which, offers or invitations to sell, purchase or exchange commodity contracts are regularly made on a centralized basis, being offers or invitations that are intended or may reasonably be expected to result directly or indirectly in the acceptance or making, respectively of offers to sell, purchase or exchange of commodity contracts but does not include—
commodity market means the scope of a commodity's circulation (including a foreign-made commodity) which cannot be replaced by another commodity, or of exchangeable commodities (hereinafter referred to as a certain commodity) within whose bounds the acquirer can buy a commodity proceeding from economic, technical or another possibility or expediency and there is no such possibility or expediency outside it;
commodity market means: a recognized exchange dealing in generic, largely unprocessed, goods that can be processed and resold.

  • Commodity Account is any “commodity account” as defined in the Code with such additions to such term as may hereafter be made.

  • Commodity option means an account, agreement, or contract giving a party to the account, agreement, or contract the right but not the obligation to purchase or sell one or more commodities or one or more commodity contracts, whether characterized as an option, privilege, indemnity, bid, offer, put, call, advance guaranty, decline guaranty or otherwise, but shall not include an option traded on a national securities exchange registered with the United States securities and exchange commission.

  • Commodity Exchange Act means the Commodity Exchange Act (7 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.), as amended from time to time, and any successor statute.

  • Commodity Agreement means any forward contract, commodity swap, commodity option or other financial agreement or arrangement relating to, or the value of which is dependent upon, fluctuations in commodity prices.

  • Commodity Agreements means, in respect of any Person, any forward contract, commodity swap agreement, commodity option agreement or other similar agreement or arrangement in respect of Hydrocarbons used, produced, processed or sold by such Person that are customary in the Oil and Gas Business and designed to protect such Person against fluctuation in Hydrocarbon prices.

  • Commodity intermediary means a person that:

  • Commodities means positions in Commodity Contracts, forward contracts, foreign exchange positions and traded physical commodities, as well as cash commodities resulting from any of the foregoing positions.

  • Futures means a futures contract which gives the buyer the obligation to purchase a specific asset, and the seller to sell and deliver that asset at a specific future date, unless such contract is terminated prior to such date for any reason;

  • Commodity Price Protection Agreement means, in respect of a Person, any forward contract, commodity swap agreement, commodity option agreement or other similar agreement or arrangement designed to protect such Person against fluctuations in commodity prices.

  • Commodities Accounts (i) shall mean all “commodity accounts” as defined in Article 9 of the UCC and (ii) shall include, without limitation, all of the accounts listed on Schedule 4.4 under the heading “Commodities Accounts” (as such schedule may be amended or supplemented from time to time).

  • spot market means any commodity market in which commodities are sold for cash and promptly delivered when the transaction is settled, as well as other non financial markets, such as forward markets for commodities.

  • Credit Risk Manager Fee The fee payable to the Credit Risk Manager on each Distribution Date for its services as Credit Risk Manager, in an amount equal to one-twelfth of the Credit Risk Manager Fee Rate multiplied by the Stated Principal Balance of the Mortgage Loans immediately prior to such Distribution Date. Credit Risk Manager Fee Rate: 0.0165% per annum.

  • Trading means and includes subscribing, buying, selling, dealing, or agreeing to subscribe, buy, sell, deal in any securities, and "trade" shall be construed accordingly.

  • Recognised Futures Exchange means an international futures exchange which is recognised by the SFC or which is approved by the Manager.

  • Commodity Hedging Agreements means, in respect of a Person, any commodity purchase contract, commodity futures or forward contract, commodities option contract or other similar contract (including commodities derivative agreements or arrangements), to which such Person is a party or a beneficiary.

  • Commodity Hedging Agreement means a commodity hedging or purchase agreement or similar arrangement entered into with the intent of protecting against fluctuations in commodity prices or the exchange of notional commodity obligations, either generally or under specific contingencies.

  • Commodity Account Control Agreement means a control agreement in a form that is reasonably satisfactory to the Collateral Agent establishing the Collateral Agent’s Control with respect to any Commodity Account.
