Futures definition

Futures means a futures contract which gives the buyer the obligation to purchase a specific asset, and the seller to sell and deliver that asset at a specific future date, unless such contract is terminated prior to such date for any reason;
Futures means as defined by the FCA Rules;
Futures is used to identify exchange traded futures, or forward contracts, and options on the same, that are cleared through a clearing house.

Futures means a contract executed on any commodity, futures or options exchange, the effect of which is that:-
Futures means allowances auctioned as financial instruments, pursuant to Article 38(3) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 1287/2006 (1), for delivery at an agreed future date at the auction clearing price determined pursuant to Article 7(2) of this Regulation and upon which variation margin calls to reflect price movements are payable in cash;
