Terms and Interpretation In this Agreement:
Defined Terms and Interpretation 1.1 In this Agreement, save where the context requires otherwise, the following words, terms and expressions shall have the following meanings: 1998 Act means the Data Protection Act 1998. 2000 Act means the Freedom of Information Act 2000. 2004 Regulations means the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Purpose of Contract The purpose of this contract is to provide services in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in this contract including all attachments, forms, and exhibits which constitute the contract document.
Headings and Interpretation Headings and sub-headings in this Agreement are inserted for reference and convenience only and shall not be deemed part of this Agreement. Wherever the fulfillment of the intent and purpose of this Agreement requires and the context will permit, the use of the masculine gender includes the feminine and use of the singular includes the plural.

Interpretation and Governing Law This Agreement and any dispute arising hereunder shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. This Agreement shall be construed as a whole according to its fair language and common meaning to achieve the objectives and purposes of the parties hereto, and the rule of construction to the effect that ambiguities are to be resolved against the drafting party shall not be employed in interpreting this Agreement, all parties having been represented by counsel in the negotiation and preparation hereof.
