Common use of Written Statements Clause in Contracts

Written Statements. (a) A dismissed employee may request in writing, a written statement from the employer detailing the reason(s) for termination. The employer will provide such statement within 14 days of receipt of the request. Provided that in the case of dismissal for misconduct, the reason for such dismissal must be given in writing. (b) A dismissed employee may make a written request to the employer for a statement of service. The employer will provide such statement within three working days following receipt of the request.
