Common use of Weekly Indemnity Clause in Contracts

Weekly Indemnity. (a) Auxiliary employees are eligible for weekly indemnity benefits upon accumulation of 400 hours. Once established, eligibility for weekly indemnity is retained unless the auxiliary employee loses auxiliary seniority. Weekly indemnity benefits are payable for each period of illness up to a maximum of fifteen (15) weeks at sixty percent (60%) of the auxiliary employee’s normal average earnings. Normal average earnings are calculated by averaging the total of the straight time compensation and the compensation paid in accordance with Clause 29.07(a) (Health and Welfare) in the six (6) most recent bi-weekly pay periods in which earnings occurred.
