Vacation Requests. Vacations will be scheduled at such times as shall be mutually agreeable to the bargaining unit member concerned and the Chief of Police or designee. The University reserves the right to limit the number of members permitted to be on vacation at any one time where the efficiency and operational needs of the facility will be disrupted. The response time for approval/disapproval of written requests for vacation leave will not exceed five (5) working days from date of submission. Approval for vacation leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. Any change of vacation shall be made by mutual agreement between the bargaining unit member and the Chief of Police or designee.
