Use of Candles. The use of candles or equipment which uses naked flames at the venues is controlled and an approval process exists involving the health and safety section. Wedding organisers are required to provide detail of the candles and table layout, indicating any combustible materials that may be in the location of candles. The use of tall candles which have the ability to fall over is restricted and evidence of the fixing arrangements for all candles is required. Physical samples must be submitted to DWTC Venue Infrastructure Health and Safety office at least ten (10) days prior to build-up.
