Common use of Upward Clause in Contracts

Upward. When an employee's position is reallocated to a higher position, his/her salary shall be the minimum of the grade. If the employee's present salary is greater than the minimum salary of the higher grade position, he/she shall be placed on a step of the higher grade position which will result in a salary increase, which shall be at least the value of one (1) increment of the higher grade. Any 911 employees’ position which is re-allocated shall move to the same step as previously held.
