Common use of Unpaid Administrative Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Administrative Leave of Absence. The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources may authorize a teacher to take an administrative leave of absence, without pay, where such leave would benefit the teacher or the Employer. Should the leave be longer than thirty (30) days, the leave will be without benefits. Each request for an administrative leave of absence will be considered on its individual merits. The Employer will review the particular circumstances surrounding each request for a leave of absence with the understanding that its decision will in no way establish a precedent. The decision of the Board to grant or deny a leave of absence is final and not subject to the grievance procedure.
