Common use of Uniformed Service Shared Leave Pool Clause in Contracts

Uniformed Service Shared Leave Pool. The Uniformed Service Shared Leave Pool (USSLP) was created so that state employees who are called to service in the uniformed services will be able to maintain a level of compensation and employee benefits consistent with the amount they would have received had they remained in active state service. The pool was also created to allow general government and higher education employees to voluntarily donate their leave to be used by any eligible employee who has been called to service in the uniformed services. Employee participation is voluntary at all times and will be consistent with state law (RCW 41.04.685) and College Policy. The Military Department, in consultation with the Department of Personnel and the Office of Financial Management, is responsible for administering the USSLP.
